If you've accepted the invitation of post match hospitality from your opponents PLEASE don't let them down by not honouring the invitation.

It's embarrassing for them having to explain to the landlord/lady that no one's coming along when there's lots of food going to waste.

The chance of a bite to eat with a drink after games is an opportunity that's not always offered in these austere times. Many publicans can ill afford the expense of laying on food and the extra staff costs when the expected custom then fails to show.

So if you don't intend to go back to the pub afterwards please let your hosts know.
