Hasland Devonshire have it all to do if they are to retain their NAPIT LEAGUE title after they were held to a 1-1 draw by a New Whitt side who have now picked up eleven points from their last five league games. The result leaves them six points adrift of un-beaten leaders FC Britannia who have eight games left to play compared to Devonshire's seven. Until the turn of the year New Whitt had collected just five points from nine games but since then they have produced some excellent performances, no more so than this one. Goal getter supreme Lee Clay hit his eighteenth of the season for Devonshire however the plaudits, on this occasion go to Whitt's Gary Morton who's strike earned them a superb point. Renishaw MW are also involved in the title race but their hopes also took a hit as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Tibshelf Town for whom Ross Armstrong and John Harris found the net, Aiden Ordidge scoring both of Town's goals.

In TWO two games were played, both being extremely tight affairs. At Carr Lane Dronfield Woodhouse were in league action for the first time since the 22nd of January however despite being somewhat ring rusty they still had enough to just edge out out opponents Matlock Town Wanderers by the odd goal in three. The second game was even more closely fought with West End Killamarsh and Wingerworth BMB both having to settle for a point apiece as West End scorer Ashley Unwin 's two goals were cancelled out by goals from BMB's Jerome Wilkes and Richard Perry

THIRD leaders Creswell Black Diamond Reserves didn't have a game which meant second placed New Whitt Reserves had the opportunity to close the gap on them to three points but they spurned the chance as they crashed to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of an impressive AFC Spital for whom Tom Yates scored two Alex Marsh and Johnathan Clarke one. Clowne Wanderers Reserves stay third after a workmanlike performance saw them beat strugglers Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh 3-0, Dale Rodgers two, Ryan Bannister one and fourth placed Pilsley Community beat Brampton Oak Sports 5-1, Chris Cave scoring twice. Carl Gallagher, Dale Beech and Carl Lynas steered Hollingwood Athletic to a 3-1 win over Hady Villa for whom Dave Twell scored, a victory that Ives them five points clear of third from bottom Brampton Oak Sports.

In FOUR Oxcroft Utd beat Club FC 3-2 whilst Chesterfield Arms were beaten 3-1 by Duckmanton Community, a combination of results which moved Utd four points above Arms in second place who are third. Both sides have mountains to climb if they hope to overhaul runaway leaders Newbold however but at least Ash Grayson, Nick Grayson and Ash Radmore's goals kept Oxcroft's hopes alive whilst Arms defeat to Duckmanton was a huge blow. At the other end of the division Harleys Scarlets eminently forgettable season continued with a 2-0 defeat by Oaks FC, Scarlets still only having two points on the board. On target for Oaks were Liam Roberts and Carl Longmore. Second from bottom Gate Inn North Wingfield haven't fared much better than Harleys and a 3-1 reverse to Crown Killamarsh leaves them a point off the bottom. Billy Hackford was the jewel in the Killamarsh Crown scoring all three of their goals. Meanwhile top dogs Newbold's seemingly unstoppable March to the title continued with a 3-1 win over New Tupton, Jordan Lemon, Lewis Haywood and Dan Keenan's strikes taking the clubs goal tally to sixty-nine for the season.

There was just the one game in FIVE and it pitted Spartans against New All Inn at the Castle Leisure Park. Craig Tromans thirteenth goal of the season, a penalty, put Spartans in front and his fourteenth doubled his sides advantage. Chris Newson reduced the arrears to one but Spartans held on to win.

In SIX third from bottom Dronfield Wanderers took on leaders Brampton Rovers Reserves and with twenty-six points separating them at the commencement of the game it would have taken a brave man to bet on anything other than a win for Rovers. However had he had done so he would have been collecting as Wanderers turned the form book on its head to win by five goals to three, Joe Stevens scoring twice, David Critchly, Paul Robins and Ben McCarthy once each. Fidlers Rest took advantage of Rovers slip by beating Renishaw MW Reserves 6-0 moving to within seven points of them in the process and they do have five games in hand. On target for Fidlers were Lloyd Amissah and Luke Carline who both scored twice, Daniel Slack and Danny Poole once. Two goals in three minutes from Micky Saville and Craig Young earned Gardners Clay Cross a victory over Hasland Community Eagles that keeps them in third place.

Brimington Utd Shoes continued to march on towards the SEVEN title with another convincing win this time at Charlies Bar Clay Cross. Brim raced to a 3-0 half time time lead with goals from Mark Mowbray, Matt Chapman and Andrew Mosley and it could have been much more if it wasn’t for an inspired performance from the Charlie’s keeper. However the result was never in doubt as Brim continued to dominate the second half and Mark Mowbray scored two more to complete a hat trick and take his season tally to 29 withJames Russell scoring his first goal for the club from the penalty spot. Grassmoor Sports Reserves remain in third place after a comfortable 6-2 win over Newbold Football Community Training. Six different players scored in the victory, Roger Brailsford, David Greaves, James Jenkinson, Gareth Lewin, Jordan Oaks and Macauley Millington. Renishaw Rangers TFC were celebrating as a Danny Coggan goal was enough to beat Darley Dale Red Star and move them from the foot of the table in the process. A goal each from Reece Nadin, Dan Roberts, Ryan Longthorne and Adam Pitchford saw Spartans 2nd beat Brimington Club 4-1 and finally Squadron Medical romped to a 6-2 win over Dronfield Town, Rodd Glover hitting a treble, Sam Wagstaffe two, Mark Alderson one.
