A four goal salvo from Ant Lynam almost secured the NAPIT ONE LEAGUE TITLE for his Hasland side on Sunday who now need just one point from their final three games to claim the trophy. Britannia’s hopes of winning the title more or less disappeared at Killamarsh Juniors Athletic for whom Gary Parsons hit a treble, Adie Parsons one in a 4-0 win for the hosts. Brampton Rovers eased to a 5-0 over Tibshelf Town, Elliott Crowder’s hat trick helping to condemn Town to a bottom of the table finish.

The wooden spoon in NAPIT TWO has ended in the hands of Grassmoor Sports who’s disappointing campaign ended with a 2-1 defeat to Chesterfield Town, Danny Rigby scoring the winning goals.

In NAPIT FOUR Woodside’s chances of winning next week’s Chatsworth Cup Final received a huge boost as an Adam Fareham goal proved to be enough to beat New Inn Newton, who will again provide the opposition in the above final.

For a long while Palterton Sporting Club were in grave danger of finishing bottom of NAPIT FIVE but a 3-2 victory over Goldminers, who led twice, saw the danger vanish as the win saw them finish third from bottom. Miners took the lead only for Wayne Boston to level before his side again fell behind. A tactical switch saw Will Holmes move from defence to attack and it paid off in no uncertain terms as he scored twice to secure the win. Eventually it was Brimington Utd who in fact did finish bottom, a 3-2 revers at Harleys Scarlets leaving them as the wooden spoon holders in FIVE.

There were celebrations in Bolsover on Sunday night as local boys AFC Bolsover claimed the NAPIT SIX TITLE with a Daley Furness inspired 4-0 win over Langer Lane, the former Bolsover Old Boys man scored twice in his sides fourteenth league victory of the season, a season which saw them lose just one game on their way to the title.
Woodthorpe Inn’s M Walsh scored four times in his sides 4-3 win over Dronfield Wanderers whilst Rogers and Robson both scored hat tricks in Clowne Wanderers 6-0 mauling of Dunston Rovers.

Birdholme 2nds will have to win their final league game by more than two goals if they are to avoid finishing bottom of SEVEN following after their penultimate game ended in a 4-0 defeat at Duckmanton Community, Graham Travis scoring twice for Duckmanton, Paul Dove and Danny Weatherall once each. Masons Arms tremendous second half of the season ended with an impressive 3-1 win over Champions Newbold.

In EIGHT Britannia Tupton and Chesterfield Town Reserves shared six goals and the points in a 3-3 draw whilst Brampton Brewery won 5-2 at Oxcroft Utd to complete a fine season for the division’s runners up.

Sunday the twelfth of May is a huge day for the players, officials and supporters of North Wingfield MW, Fidlers Rest, Woodside and New Inn Newton who contest the finals of the Ace Sports Chatsworth Cup and ACL Hutson Cup at Clay Cross Town’s ground at Mill Lane Holmegate Clay Cross, S45 9QF. The Hutson Final will see North Wingfield MW take on Fidlers Rest in a 10.45 am kick off followed by the Chatsworth Cup at 2.15pm which will feature Woodside and New Inn Newton.
