Eckington Boys dropped their first points this season as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Whitecotes. M Kamara and G Parsons were on target for Juniors who stay top of NAPIT ONE, Spencer and Harcourt for Whitecotes. The biggest winners of the day were defending champions Hasland who put six past Bolsover Town SC without reply, Clay two, Goodison two, Beatson and Senior one each winning the game for Hasland. Brampton Rovers went down 4-1 at Eckington Boys, their third defeat in seven days suggesting they may well have a difficult season ahead of them. Adams, D Batterham, Robinson and an own goal secured the win for Eckington. Britannia and Clowne Wanderers shared the spoils in the divisions other game, Whitehead and Wiley scoring for the Brit, Carless and Clayton for Wanderers in a 2-2 drawn game.

Barrow Hill MC have got off to a fantastic start in NAPIT TWO, Chris Cave, Ryan Whittaker and Mark Vine scoring in a 3-0 win at Tibshelf Town to follow up victories over Wingerworth Barley Mow and Brampton Rovers JMA, scoring eighteen goals in total. In stark contrast Charlies Bar Clay Cross have endured a torrid opening week to the season, losing 8-0 to Wingerworth Barley Mow, 6-0 to New Whitt and 3-0 to Silver Birches. In the latest of the three defeats at WBM the hosts Gilson hit a treble. Woodside beat New Whitt with Nicky Ellis, Adam Fordham, Rob Ireland and Declan Healey on target in a 4-2 score-line, FC Brimington drew 3-3 with Brampton Rovers JMA, Longmore, Thomas and Rigby for Brimington, Lomas, Gill and Lambird for JMA whilst Ashover Vale slipped to a 3-1 defeat at home to Hollingwood, Plant, Richards and Styles with the winning goals.

Hosetech lead the way in THREE, ahead of Red Lion Whitt Moor on goal difference. Hosetech took on Brickmakers Arms and drew with them 1-1, Townsend for Hosetech, Poole for Brickmakers, Red Lion winning 4-2 at Double Top thanks to strikes from McTighe, Linacre, Cooke and Harold. AFC Bolsover recorded a straightforward 5-0 win over Dronfield Woodhouse, Josh Parfitt hitting a hat trick, Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh were in fine form winning 3-0 at Beechers Brook thanks to goals from Bullement, McCann and Batham and West Killamarsh hit six at Matlock Town Wanderers, Liam Edge scoring three of them.

7-1, 4-1 and 7-0 victories have seen New Whitt B make a dream start in NAPIT FOUR. The 7-0 win came on Sunday at Brimington Park Colts in a game which saw D Lock score four goals. Nine goals were scored as Spartans entertained Lowgates Sports Club, five of them by Sports to hand them a victory. Jake Wharton top scored for Sports with a brace but spare a thought for Craig Tromans who scored a hat trick but still ended up on the losing side. AFC North Wingfield also hit five, this time at Woodthorpe Inn. They were under the cosh at one stage however as Whitford and Headley put Woodthorpe two up but two Andy Woolvern goals plus one each from Snell, Smith and Vardy turned the game on its head. Chesterfield Arms picked up three valuable points as they beat Harleys Scarlets 3-1 as did Pilsley, 4-2 winners at Newbold[Cave, Dillingham, Hewitt, Newman].

Newbold Sports and Clowne Wanderers Reserves won on Sunday, both cubs third win in a week in NAPIT FIVE. Sports win came at Brampton Brewery whom they beat 5-1, David Brent scoring twice, his seventh and eighth goals inside seven days. Wanderers third win came at the expense of Hasland Community, an own goal plus one apiece from Taylor and Robson securing the victory. Holmehall 1ST lost their first two games but it was third time lucky as they crushed Dunston Rovers 6-2 Richard Start inspiring the victory with his two goals. The two North Wingfield clubs fared pretty well with Miners Welfare winning 2-1 at Brimington Utd, Brooks and Walters with their goals, whilst Gate Inn drew 2-2 with Old Whittington MW, Guy and D Kirk for Gate S Taylor twice for Old Whitt.

In SIX Hady Villa followed up earlier victories over Markham Arms and Hasland WMC with a third over Barlow Kingston Rovers, Smedley scoring twice Heath once. Former Doe Lea Villa manager Pete Revill is now at the helm and he will be delighted with his new sides fine start to the season. Crown Killamarsh beat Holmehall 2ND 3-1 thanks to goals from Majchrzak, Shaw and Stephens, Bulls Head Old Whitt won 4-0 at Boythorpe [Vella 2, Redman, Pitchford] and there were also victories for Renishaw Miners Welfare Reserves who beat Fidlers Rest 3-2, Clayton two, Poulton one and Hasland WMC who beat Furnace Hill Hurricanes 4-0.

Finally in NAPIT SEVEN Oxcroft Utd and Duckmanton Community lead the way with seven points from three games the former having a slightly better goal difference. This is easily Utd’s best start to a campaign since joining the league and on Sunday they dropped their first points after Duckmanton drew with them, McDonald’s goal being equalled by Mark Reynolds strike. Dronfield Town and opponents Boot and Shoe were in fine goal scoring form, their clash ending level at 4-4. Scott Oxley found the net twice for Town, Richard Lamb and substitute Liam Cross once each, Adlington, Yeomans, Nadin and Porter equalling the feat for B and S. New club Glapwell Gladiators opening two games ended in defeat but a superb goal scoring display by David Canning helped to earn them a 5-2 win at the expense of Brimington Club. Canning hit four splendid goals and a fifth from Aaron Simpson nullified D Hodson’s two goals for Club whose cause was not helped as J Cauldwell saw red. Brampton Rovers Reserves were winners, 3-1 over Clay Cross Miners and Diners, Potter, Ricky Hadfield and Proctor on target likewise Squadron Medical repeated the feat, beating Britannia Tupton 5-2, Glover scoring three times and Grassmoor Sports Reserves beat Spartans 2ND 6-1.
