The NAPIT LEAGUE'S dominance of Derbyshire Sunday football continues as Hasland Wanderers beat Springfield FC to reach the final of the Senior Sunday Cup competition where FC Britannia will await them following their 3-1 victory over Sinfin City the previous week. Devonshire will be looking to record a hat trick of wins as they amazingly look to lift the cup for the third successive season in the counties showpiece Sunday League final.

FC Britannia went three points clear at the top of the NAPIT LEAGUE on Sunday following a 5-3 win over Eckington Boys. They began the day level on points with Renishaw MW who were in action at Hepthorne Lane however their hosts produced an excellent performance to beat them by two goals to nil. For Britannia the season just keeps getting better after goals from Danny Fields, Will Harcourt, Callum Lytham, Lee Walton and Nathan Whitehead made them table toppers.

Woodthorpe Inn moved to the top of TWO as they thrashed Westend Killamarsh and previous leaders AFC Bolsover slipped to a 3-1 reverse at Grassmoor Sports. Carl Whitford and Oliver Shelton caused Westend massive problems as they hit three and two goals respectively in the victory, Craig Henshaw and Ellis Wall completing their misery. As for Bolsover the loss at Grassmoor was only their second of the season as Rob Holland, Liam Moore and Lee Naughton's goals steered them to victory. At the other end of the table Red Lion Whit Moor's 3-1 defeat to Black Swan was their fourteenth defeat of the season. Callum Gill, Richard Lawson and Jack Newman inflicting the damage.

Cresswell Black Diamond Reserves continue to set the pace in THREE with Whitt B hot in pursuit. Diamond took on Pilsley Community and goals from David Hall, Daniel Jackson and Stacey Malerek beat them to keep their side three points clear of New Whitt who just shaded a close game at Hollingwood Athletic 3-2, Gareth Hannaby, Dan Locke and Jack Yeomans the match winners.

In FOUR leaders Newbold suffered a rare defeat at the hands of third placed New Inn Tupton who beat them 5-2 with Max Minshull scoring the winners in what was a superb result for the club. That defeat means Newbold's lead is cut to five points with second placed Chesterfield Arms taking advantage of their defeat by recording a 2-0 win over Crown Killamarsh, Ashley Crowther and Mark Woods on target for Arms.

FIVE and the title race heated up a little more as Brimington Utd took advantage of leaders Holmehall's inactivity to move level with them on points by winning 2-0 at Renishaw Rangers, Chris Marshall and Darren Parkinson the scorers. Meanwhile a ten goal game at Brimwood Utd saw the hosts score seven of them to subdue Spartans, Kyle Perrins registering a treble for them.

Second placed Fidlers Rest were big winners in SIX as they put six past Gardeners Clay Cross who replied with two goals of their own. Danny Stokes scored twice in a win that moves them to within four points of leaders Brampton Rovers Reserves who were held to a 2-2 draw by Furnace Hill Hurricanes, Elliott Crowder and Charlie Scattergood scoring for Rovers, Neil Hollingworth and Keith Parkes, likewise for Furnace Hill.

Brimington Utd Shoes have one hand on the title trophy in SEVEN as they continued to totally dominate the division with a 6-3 victory at local rivals Brimington Club. Their lead at the top has now grown to fourteen points, Andrew Mosley scored a hat trick, Mark Mowbray two and Chris Smith one. Bottom side Renishaw Rangers TFC came close to picking up a rare three points against Newbold Community Football Training but just lost out by the odd goal in five, Andrew Brown, Anthony Brown and Daniel Hodson scoring for Community.
