The fixture list fared slightly better than the previous two weeks on Sunday with seventeen games going ahead. There were some very high scoring games as well with two teams hitting double figures and one scoring nine. Top scorers were NAPIT SEVEN leaders Duckmanton Community who increased their lead to nine points on the back of superb 12-0 drubbing of Boot and Shoe. This was a five star team performance with Jack Weaver taking centre stage, hitting a double hat trick ably supported by Mark Reynolds who scored three times, S Johnson twice and G Travis once. Up in NAPIT FOUR Dronfield Miners didn’t quite equal Duckmanton’s goal tally but will be well satisfied with the eleven they scored to beat Harleys Scarlets. Two Miners players scored trebles, Adam Hodgson and Oli Wood with Ross Bateman scoring twice and Jamie Capuano, Dan Hamilton and Nathan Turner weighing in with a goal each. The victory also saw them move to the top of the division. NAPIT FIVE leaders Clowne Wanderers held a two point advantage over their opponents North Wingfield at the start of their encounter and a close outcome looked to be on the cards at the half way stage with Wanderers leading 2-1. However just after the re-start two became three and Wingfield quickly imploded as Wanderers hit six more to win 9-1. Robson was in inspired form for the winners scoring four times with Dodsworth scoring a couple, Boyle and Rodgers one apiece.

Elsewhere in the league Tibshelf Town visited FC Brimington in the only game played in two and beat them by five goals to nil to consolidate their position in fourth place, Vardy scoring twice, Holmes and Bramley once and an own goal accounting for goal number five.

Three games took place in THREE with leaders West Killamarsh easing to a 5-0 victory at Hopflower Athletic. The win was their tenth of the season and they have now just dropped five points so far, drawing and losing their other two games. Liam Edge scored two of the goals as did Unwin with the fifth being an OG. Second placed Red Lion Whitt Moor took on forth placed Matlock Town Wanderers and honours ended even with the game finishing level at three goals each, Linacre, Mathewman and Robley scoring Red Lion’s goals, Haulksworth twice and Travis Wanderers’. Newton George and Dragon hosted Creswell Black Diamond and won another high scoring affair by five goals to three, Reilly registering a hat trick for the winners, Liddle and Hadley one.

AFC North Wingfield stay in second place in FOUR after two goals from C Collins eclipsed Chris Cave’s goal for Pilsley whom they beat 2-1. Newbold took on Derbyshire Junior Cup semi-finalists Steelmelters and held them to a 3-3 draw. Finding the back of the net for Newbold were Bradley, Lewis and Fareham with Jack Yeomans, Curtis Birchall and Richie Alsop repeating the feat for Steelmelters.

Other than the previous game mentioned in NAPIT FIVE three others took place, most notably second placed Hasland Community’s one at Gate Inn North Wingfield which they just won by two goals to one to stay a point behind the leaders and four above third place. Wildman scored three times as Holmehall 1ST beat Newbold Sports 4-1, Start adding the fourth whilst Spital lost by the odd goal in seven to Brampton Brewery. On target for Brewery were Nowak, Stone, Roberts and Hardman.

Fidlers Rest hit the goal trail in SIX, putting seven past Hasland WMC who scored twice themselves. Six different players netted for Fidlers with Palmer scoring twice, Slack, Amissah, Webley, Stokes and Norman once each. Barlow Kingston Rovers seem to have addressed their defensive frailties as they beat Markham Arms 4-1, Scott Whitehouse scoring twice, Ross Dove and Chris Cuniffe’s strikes completing the victory. Renishaw MW Reserves were also winners, their success coming against visitors Holmehall 2ND whom they beat 4-1, Clayton with two goals, Dodsworth and Turner adding goals number three and four.

In NAPIT SEVEN Oxcroft Utd produced a fine display against Miners and Diners to win a nine goal game 6-3 to go second. N Grayson led them to victory by scoring a hat trick, Roe adding two, Kimberley one. Squadron Medical took on Glapwell Gladiators and beat them 5-2 and finally a goal each from Wild and Cox earned Dronfield Town a 2-1 win over Spartans 2ND for whom Miles scored.
