Hasland Devonshire's defence of the NAPIT League title began last week with a 6-2 victory over Tibshelf Town and a Pete Stubley double helped them secure a 4-1 win at Eckington Boys to make it two wins from two in stark contrast to Eckington who have now lost two from two. Along with Stubley Claridge and Poole were on target. Tibshelf Town shrugged off last weeks defeat to Hasland by beating Killamarsh Juniors Athletic 3-0 Steven Webster scoring twice, Scott Vardy once. Hepthorne Lane just edged out Clowne Wanderers, Burrows scoring twice, Knowles once in a 3-2 win whilst Creswell Black Diamond and New a Whitt played out a goal less draw.

In NAPIT TWO Wingerworth BMB are the early season leaders thanks to their 3-0 success over West End Killamarsh, their second win in seven days, Poole scoring twice, Newton once. Three games were decided by the odd goal in five, Woodthorpe Inn winning 3-2, at AFC Bolsover, Dronfield Victoria, Oli Wood scoring a couple, beating Red Lion Whitt Moor and Matlock Town Wanderers, Beale 2 and Whitworth, doing likewise at Black Swan.

Also winning 3-2 this time in THREE were AFC North Wingfield who beat Steelmelters Arms Killamarsh, Preece, Woolvern and Smith with the winning goals. However three teams have now won both their opening games, Clowne Wanderers Reserves, New Whitt and Creswell Black Diamond Reserves. Wanderers put six past Ark Tavern who replied with a couple of goals of their own. Black Diamond's second victory came at the expense of Pilsley community whilst New a Whitt beat Brampton Sports 4-1 with Dan Locke on target twice. Hady Villa were the fourth team to win in this division beating Hollingwood Athletic by two goals to nil.

In FOUR goals flew in with regularity at Club FC were the hosts hit four only to be outgunned by Oxcroft United who hit seven. Ashley Grayson was in fine form for Utd, scoring four whilst Nick Grayson scored twice, Adam a gill once. There were also plenty of goals in the game between New Inn Tupton where visitors Crown Killamarsh were beaten 6-2, Hunt and Miller both scoring doubles. A much tighter affair between Harley's Scarlets and Chesterfield Arms who drew 2-2.

Holmehall 1st and Brimwood Utd have made perfect starts in FIVE, both winning their opening two games. The formers second win came against Travellers Clowne with a Richard Start scoring twice whilst the laters came at the expense of Old Whittington MW whom they beat by five goals to two, Robbie Price scoring twice, Josh Nicholls, Steven Yates and Ash Scattergood once each. Barlow Kingston Rovers were on fire at Royal Oak Rangers, hammering them 9-2 and particularly so Scott Whitehouse who hit five. New All Inn beat Spartans 3-0, Taylor, Manlove and Higginbottam with the winning goals.

In NAPIT SIX Hasland Wanderers registered double figures against Evolution, scoring ten to add to the eleven their opponents conceded last week. Hasland Communities Eagles visit to Gardners Clay Cross produced a goal fest. The first half saw Eagles find the back of the net twice in the opening minute, Spencer Hindle and Adam Plant scoring though Michael Lunn gave Gardners some hope with a thirty-ninth minute strike. Those hopes were completely obliterated in the opening six minutes of the second half as Eagles amazingly scored six times. Firstly Taylor Hoole scored on forty-six, Adam Plant scored his second on forty-seven, Josh Haigh made it 5-1 a minute later, five became six on forty-nine as Haigh scored again, Dan Froggatt and Rob Ward, scored on fifty and fifty-one minutes to make it 8-1. However credit must go to Gardners who bounced back with four goals of their own, Mark Evans, Koran Palfreyman, Craig Herberts and Steven Rodgers scoring to complete a day for strikers to savour and defenders to rue. Renishaw MW Reserves joined the Eagles on six points although their game against Hasland WMC was a slightly more sedate affair, Renishaw winning 4-2 and much more closely contested affairs saw Fidlers Rest beat Brampton Rovers Reserves 3-2 and Holmehall 2nds beating Dronfield Wanderers by the same margin.

In SEVEN Brimington Utd Shoes and Charlie's Clay Cross both made it two wins from two games. Shoes beat Ye Old Nags Head 4-1, Craig Oldfield, Chris Marshall, Ben Roberts and Steven Browne scoring for Shoes whilst Charlie's beat Spartans Reserves 3-1,Karl Dring scoring twice. Brimington Club put eight past Renishaw Rangers TFC without reply, Gary Yates hitting a treble and Darley Dale Red Star beat Squadron Medical 6-1, super sub Tim Baker enjoying a red letter day, scoring all six. The final game failed to produce a winner but did produce eight goals as Grassmoor Sports Reserves drew 4-4 with Glapwell Gladiators.
