Haughmond United FC v Ellesmere Rangers Reserves FC 19TH May 2011 at Sundorne Sports Village, Shrewsbury

After a tense end to end game, between the two top teams in the division and watched by a crowd of around 150, the game turned out to be a fitting final game to decide the Premier Division champions. Haughmond’s club captain Tom Hewitt opened the scoring in the 15th minute.

Ellesmere were soon on level terms in the 19th minute, when James Pound levelled the score. Phil Bates increased Haughmond’s lead in the 39th minute to give them a 2-1 half team lead.

In the second period Haughmond dominated the early stages and both defences held solid, until the 81st minute when Tom Hewitt, scored his second goal of the game and made sure that the tile went to Haughmond.
