We head into the last weekend of the month with twelve matches on the fixture list.
Premier Division Cup
Counting House vs TWS Cramptons – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
TWS Cramptons sit top of the group table having won both of their matches in the competition. Counting House have drawn both their matches and defeated TWS Cramptons 3-0 in the league back in September.
Frames United vs Lanthorne – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
Lanthorne are joint second in the table and a win on Sunday will put them in a good position to qualify for the Semi Finals. Frames United have only played one match in the cup so far falling to defeat against Kings United. This will be the third meeting between the two sides this season, Lanthorne won on the opening day of the season and the points were shared in the Chris Sear Memorial Cup two weeks later. Lanthorne welcome Andy Johnston to the side following his transfer from Counting House.
Windmill vs 19th Hole – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
Both sides have one point each so far in the cup, but Windmill have played a game less than their opponents. It’s one win apiece in the two matches so far this season, 19th Hole winning the league match in September whilst Windmill triumphed in the Chris Sear Memorial Cup. A win for either team will push them into the qualifying places.
First Division
Lesters Athletic vs Red Arrows – Viking Field 10.30am
Leaders Lesters Athletic host Red Arrows as they sit three points clear at the top of the table. Lesters are unbeaten in their last four matches and reached the last 32 of the Kent Cup last weekend. Red Arrows are sixth in the table but just four points behind second place and will keen to end a bad run of five successive defeats.
FC Inter Westgate vs Hussar – Lymington Road 10.30am
Fifth placed FC Inter Westgate take on unbeaten Hussar who are second but can go top with a win and a defeat for Lesters Athletic. FC Inter Westgate are unbeaten this month and have Daniel Harris in fine scoring form with eleven goals so far. Hussar won their last league fixture 6-2 against Red Arrows and are the top scorers in the division.
Easy Scaff vs Westwood – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
In a very tight division, Easy Scaff are eighth in the table but four points off a promotion spot. These two sides met just three weeks ago when Easy Scaff ran out 8-3 winners. Jamie Ridgeway and Will O’Keefe both have twelve goals each. Westwood recorded their first points of the season two weeks ago and were involved in a high scoring defeat last weekend, Will Bath leads the way with eleven goals so far.
Macies vs Northwood – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
Macies are currently fourth in the table but could end the weekend in a promotion place if results go their way. Having lost their last league match, they’ll be keen to get back to winning ways. Northwood fell to a narrow defeat last weekend against FC Inter Westgate.
Monkton vs Westgate Social Club – Monkton Recreation Ground 10.30am
Third placed Westgate Social Club travel to Monkton with their eyes set on moving into the top two in the table. Unbeaten in their last three matches, Westgate will look to continue their recent good form. Monkton are only three points behind their opponents despite sitting seventh and could overtake them with a win on Sunday, Matt Hardy will be the key player for Monkton as he looks to add to his thirteen goals scored this season.
Second Division
Holman Carpentry vs Shrimpos – Bell Meadow Recreation Ground 10.30am
Fourth placed Holman Carpentry are the next team trying to end Shrimpos 100% start to the season. Holman have won their last three matches and sit just two points off the promotion places. Shrimpos are one point clear at the top of the table and also reached the last 32 of the Kent Cup last weekend, Gareth Rushton scoring again to take his tally to fifteen for the season.
Garden Bar vs Aussie Arms – Birchington Recreation Ground 10.30am
Garden Bar are second in the table and would go top with a win combined with Shrimpos dropping points. Success in the Kent Cup last weekend sees their season continue to be a good one as they look for promotion. Aussie Arms fell to a heavy defeat last Sunday and will want to bounce back this week.
Sandwich Town vs The Vale – Baypoint Sports Club 10.30am
Two sides separated by just three points meet at Baypoint Sports Club, Sandwich Town are unbeaten in the league to date and a win could see them in the top two by the end of the day. The Vale have lost their last two league games to drop to fifth but a win on Sunday would put them back on track for a promotion place, David Crane is one of the top marksmen in the league with thirteen goals.
Thanet Athletic vs Prince Albert – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
Two sides near the foot of the table meet and a win for either team will push them right up the table in what is a tight division. Cameron Escudier will hope to continue his decent scoring season, Thanet will be without both Jack Songer and Danny Caller as they complete the last of their suspensions. Prince Albert had a big win last weekend as they won their first match in four games, they defeated their opponents 3-1 in the Chris Sear Memorial Shield last month and share the goals amongst the team with no less than thirteen different players scoring so far.
