Remembrance Sunday sees us at week eleven of the season and a week that have a mix of league and cup matches.
Premier Division Cup
Counting House vs Windmill – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
Counting House play their second match of the group stage after collecting a point in their opening match whereas this will be Windmill’s first match of the group. The two teams met on the opening day of the campaign and shared the points in a 1-1 draw. Chris Lewis leads the scoring charts for Counting House with five goals whilst Jamie Brown has also hit five this season for Windmill.
TWS Cramptons vs Kings United – The Royal Harbour Academy 10.30am
The top two teams in the group meet for the third time this season, Kings have won both previous matches 3-1. Zack Thomas hit seven goals in Kings opening group match and leads the leagues scoring charts with fifteen goals. Dom Crawford and Ben Munday have five goals each for TWS Cramptons.
First Division
Macies vs Lesters Athletic – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
It is third against first in this matchup, both teams with just one defeat each in the league so far. Macies are unbeaten in their last eight league and cup matches whilst Lesters are on a three-match unbeaten run. Tom Darrington leads the scorers for Lesters with six goals. George Amber misses out for Maces as he completes his three-match ban.
Red Arrows vs Hussar – Sandwich Technology School 10.30am
Another big match sees second placed Hussar travel to face fourth placed Red Arrows. Hussar are the only unbeaten side left in the division and sit three points behind the leaders. Woody Pitman is in double figures for Hussar with Lukasz Olubek hitting seven already for Red Arrows. Kieran Davis returns for Hussar having missed last week through suspension.
Monkton vs Easy Scaff – Monkton Recreation Ground 10.30am
Monkton head into this match against Easy Scaff having been involved in matches totalling no less than 22 goals in the last two weeks. Matt Hardy continues his fine scoring streak that sees him with eleven so far whilst Easy Scaff have won their last four games and Will O’Keefe, Jamie Ridgeway, and Camron Haswell all in double figures.
Westgate Social Club vs FC Inter Westgate – Lymington Road 10.30am
Two sides sitting mid table meet here knowing victory will push them towards the promotion places. Westgate Social Club had a free week last Sunday and will want revenge having lost to FC Inter Westgate 4-1 in early October. Daniel Harris has scored nine goals so far for Inter Westgate.
Northwood vs Westwood – Baypoint Sports Ground 10.30am
Neither side has a point so far this season, so someone will break that duck this weekend. In their previous league match, Northwood lost out 7-6 in a goal fest against Monkton and have Harry Paxman sat on nine goals this season. Westwood were also involved in a high scoring match last Sunday with Will Bath scoring a hat trick in defeat.
Second Division
Garden Bar vs Franklins – Birchington Recreation Ground 10.30am
These two sides meet for the second week running after Garden Bar recorded a 4-1-win last week in the Chris Sear Memorial Shield. Garden Bar sit second and can go top with a win as Shrimpos are in cup action elsewhere, they hit twenty-seven goals so far with Will Billings and Freddie Saunders getting six each. Franklins can move into the promotion places with a win.
Holman Carpentry vs Prince Albert – Bell Meadow Recreation Ground 10.30am
Holman enter this match on the back of a big win in the Chris Sear Memorial Shield last Sunday, Bailey Friend getting a hat trick to lead their top scorers list. Prince Albert are on the same points as their opponents and a win for either team will push them up the table. Prince Albert will be without both Finley Regan and Matt Childs through suspension.
The Vale vs Thanet Athletic – Jacky Bakers 10.30am
The Vale can close in on leaders Shrimpos with a win against second bottom Thanet Athletic, hot shot David Crane scored against last week to take his seasons tally to twelve which is second best in the entire league. Thanet Athletic enter the match on a five-match losing run and will have to cope without Danny Caller and Jack Songer who begin suspensions.
Chris Sear Memorial Shield – Group B
Sandwich Town vs Shrimpos – Baypoint Sports Ground 10.30am
These two sides meet in their re-arranged match that was postponed back in September. Sandwich Town have won both group matches so far and defeated division one side Northwood in this competition last Sunday. Shrimpos had a week off and a win here pushes them up to second in the table, Justin Spinks serves the second of his three-match ban and will hope Gareth Rushton can continue his goalscoring form.
