TWS Cramptons, Windmill & Lesters Athletic all reach Kent Cup last 16.

A mixed set of results for our teams in the Kent Cup last weekend.
In the Kent Sunday Junior Cup, Windmill defeated FC Concept 4-2 thanks to goals from Jamie Brown, Dayne Cutttng, Jordan Mogridge and Joshua Wood. Hussar are also through to the next round after a comfortable 6-1 win against AFC Faversham, Danny McGovern hitting a hat trick and one each for Sidney Long, Woody Pitman and Steven Ball. Macies also advanced to the third round with a 4-1 win over Snowdown United, Cain Smith getting a brace with one apiece for Ben Wiggins-Scott and Martyn Wood. A double from Matt Hardy saw Monkton defeat Eastry Ravens 2-0 but Red Arrows slipped to defeat against Ball of Duty and Westwood lost out to Folkestone Pirates.
Into the Kent Sunday Junior Trophy where there were three all-Thanet ties. Franklins defeated FC Inter Westgate 2-0, Sean Cullen, and Michael Pile with the goals. Shrimpos came from behind with ten men to beat Thanet Athletic thanks to a hat trick from Semon Murphy and Garden Bar needed penalties to beat The Vale. Our other sides all fell to defeat, Aussie Arms losing 11-1 to Bekesbourne, Holman Carpentry were defeated 5-1 by Maidens Head, Prince Albert lost by a solitary goal to Red Lion Bridge Reserves, Sandwich Town were beaten 7-2 by Shepherdswell Spartans, Westgate Social Club lost out 3-2 to Radnor Park Rovers and Northwood were beaten by Tankerton Royals 4-1.
Away from County Cup action and the Premier Division Cup group stages got underway and there was fantastic scoring performance from Kings United’s Zack Thomas who netted seven goals in his side’s 9-2 win against Frames United, Lee Palmer and Danny Martin getting the other two goals. A George Cook double and one from Tom McGuirk saw TWS Cramptons beat Lanthorne 3-1, and the points were shared between 19th Hole and Counting House who drew 1-1.
There was also one game in the First Division which saw Lesters Athletic lose for the first time this season as goals from Jay Lawlor, William O’Keefe and Jamie Ridgeway saw Easy Scaff record a 3-2-win, Jamie Coot with both goals for Lesters.
