Weston Coyney Juniors started the strongest with Keiron Ellis dominating the midfield and they took the lead early in the first half, when a shot from Robert Glenan was adjudged to have been handled in the area by a Talke Eagles player. Up stepped Kieran Ellis who made no mistake with the spot kick. Talke Eagles came more into the game and were unlucky not to level when Mark Morgan broke through the Weston Coyney defense only to see his shot saved by Daniel Taylor. Talke eventually leveled the score, Leon Allen floated a free kick forward to Matthew Wynne whose determination took him through the Weston Coyney defense and he coolly lobbed the advancing keeper.
Half Time 1-1.
The second half belong to Mathew Meszaros in the Talke Eagles goal who pulled of several outstanding saves to keep the score at 1-1 and take the game into extra time and then the dreaded penalty shoot out, which Weston Coyney Juniors eventually won 4-2.
