PJYL U13's League Cup
Longton sealed the league and cup double with a victory over their close rivals Dimensions. In a very even first half it was Longton Harriers had the first attempt on goal, a corner from Josh Chadwick, was cleared by the Dimensions defense only as far as Adam Bloor whose shot was well saved by Shaun Tilstone in the dimensions goal.
Half Time 0 - 0.
The second half started with Longton on the offensive, and it was no surprise when they eventually took the lead, a shot from Ritchie Shankland was well saved by Shaun Tilstone only to see the ball fall to Adam Coulston who fired the ball into the empty net. Goal number two soon followed, Ritchie Shankland expertly lobbing the advancing keeper. Josh Yates made it three with an assure finish, before Adam Coulston scored his second and Harriers fourth, with a fine strike that went in off the cross bar.
Dimensions eventually scored the consolation strike their first half performance deserved, and it was possible the goal of the day. Adam Murray laid a free kick off to Arron Brown who riffled his shot into the top corner of the goal giving Warrick Keen no chance.
