LEAGUE CUP – Round 1

Desford had a 6-4 away victory at Ashby Ivanhoe with Josh Brogden (2), Elliott Brown, Joe Wright, Clinton Mbilinyi and Aaron Shanker all finding the back of the net. Ashbys’ replies coming from Jack Robinson, Masen Robinson, Finley Kemp and Charlie Bradshaw. GNG Elite Development overcame Allexton & New Parks 4-2 with Shivang Odedra (2), Cosmos Mathwasa and Sian Tarandeep scoring. Jack Allen and Billy Clarke with Allextons’ replies. Harborough Town defeated Allexton & New Parks Eagles 3-1 with Matt Brown, Cameron Hardy and Josh Bott doing the damage with Mohammed Al Jaf replying for the Eagles. Mansfield Town had a 3-1 away victory over Oadby Owls with Thomas Gledhill bagging all 3. The Owls reply coming from Charlie Morton. Aylestone Park had a well deserved 2-0 victory over Leicester Nirvana with Keenan Muganda and Yaro Phillips scoring. Loughborough Dynamo and Lutterworth Athletic had to go to penalties to decide the winner after they finished all square at 3-3 with the Athos claiming victory 3-2 in the shoot out. Dan Axten, Lee Ward and an own goal for the Dynamo with Paul Chisholm (2) and Fenton Booth for the Athos. Gresley v Coalville Town Ravens was postponed due to an unfit pitch and will now try again in December, whilst St Andrews received a bye into round 2
