Defending NAPIT ONE Champions FC Britannia took on title hopefuls and current leaders Hasland Devonshire on Sunday and the latter came out on top to maintain their one hundred percent start to the season, winning by a 3-1 margin, Neil Ashley, Charlie Daws and Nico Degirolamo on target for Devonshire. Creswell Black Diamond and Doe Lea showed their attacking prowess as Diamond hit five goals, Doe Lea three. The game between Tishelf Town and Wingerworth BMB was a tight affair that could have gone either way but Town eventually prevailed, winning by the odd goal in five.

In TWO Josh Parfitt’s two goals plus one each from Jack Weaver and Daley Furness secured FC Utd of Bolsover a 4-1 win over Clowne Wanderers Reserves and moved them three points clear of New Whitt who dropped points for the first time this season as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Brampton Rovers JMA. Stacey Malarek and Joe Kirsop’s goals helped to secure Creswell Black Diamond Reserves a 2-1 win at Westend Killamarsh. Dronfield Victoria travelled to picturesque Ashover to take on Crispin Casuals and they duly beat them 2-0, Josh Adams and Charles Bradwell scoring the winning goals.

Some high scoring took place in THREE with the Brimington Utd v AFC North Wingfield game seeing the highest game aggregate, eleven goals, Utd scoring four of them, North Wingfield seven!. Not far behind were the encounters between Pilsley Community and Ark Tavern, Red Lion Whitt Moor and leaders Renishaw MW which both saw eight goals scored. North Wingfield hadn't won this season before but their finishing was clinical as Jamie Vardy led the way with a fine hat trick, Adam Smith weighed in with a couple, Matt Towndrow and Jamie Wilson scoring one each. Pilsley Community hit six against opponents Ark Tavern’s two. Table toppers Renishaw MW scored five of the eight goals in the game with Red Lion Whitt Moor, Dan Talbot scoring three, Chris Clayton two. Oaks FC were also in good form as they won 5-1 at Hollingwood Athletic. Newbold and Hady Villa shared six goals and the points in a 3-3 draw.

David Brent scored twice as Brampton Oak Sports won 5-1 at Duckmanton Community in FOUR to go third, Chapman, Smith and Alsop also on target. Club FC and AFC Castle's game ended in a 2-2 deadlock whilst New All Inn and Brimington Utd Shoes drew 3-3.

Barlow Kingston Rovers managed to win for the first time after seven games in FIVE as they beat Dronfield Wanderers in a close game by four goals to three, Alex Haythornwaite scoring twice. In stark contrast Renishaw MW marched onto their seventh win from seven starts to go eight points clear at the top of the division. The latest side to be beaten were Royal Oak Rangers and by some distance as Mark Robinson scored four in an 8-2 win, Karl Knowels two, Liam Pritchard and Ryan Kasprzycki one each. Glapwell Gladiators are still looking for their first win but they did pick a point up in a 1-1 draw with ten man Brampton Rose who had Dan Buxton red carded. Gate Inn North Wingfield beat Gardeners Clay Cross by the odd goal in three as Harleys Scarlets beat Bolsover Town 5-3, Ryan Hutchinson, Ben Jennings, Matt Wild, Andy Lakin and Gareth Bannister with the winning goals.

Hasland Community Eagles are top of SIX after they beat a battling Steelmelters side by three goals to two. Evolution beat Woodthorpe Wanderers 4-3 to go second with Jack Britland scoring two of the winning goals. Bottom side Lockoford Inn continue to struggle as they suffered another heavy defeat, this time going down 8-1to Castle Arms for whom Steve Roberts and Phil Pearson both scored twice. Hasland WMC's 5-0 against Furnace Hill Hurricanes was only their second so far this season. Andy Laming scored twice in the win as did Matt Bower.

In SEVEN Markham Arms spurned the opportunity to cut leaders Darley Dale Red Star's lead to just one point by slipping to a 4-1 reverse at New Bolsover Social Club. Ye Old Nags Head and Brimington Club played out a seven goal thriller with Nags Head just shading the contest by four goals to three, Richard Atkinson, Charlie Birch, Jack Smith and James Thompson scoring the vital goals. The game between Spartans 2nd and Renishaw Rangers TFC was much more clear cut as Spartans won easily by seven goals to nil, Saul Asquith hitting a fine hat trick in the win. Newbold Community Football Training also won comfortably 5-0 at Britannia Tupton, Dan Hodson and Ryan Malkin both scoring twice in the win. There was little to choose between Dronfield Town and Anchor Clowne but Anchor did enough to earn a 4-3 victory, Mark Slinn scoring twice, Jordan Bland and Ben Thorpe once each.

In the Chatsworth Cup Brampton Rovers and Grassmoor Sports were tied at 1-1 after ninety minutes but it was Rovers who won the game 3-2 after extra time. An eventful game at Crown Killamarsh saw visitors New Inn Tupton reduced to nine men as Gary Siddall and Joe Taylor were both sent off. The nine men prevailed however thanks to two goals from Max Minshull.
