RHODES EBBS LEAGUE CUP - FINAL

In a tightly contested game, Anstey Nomads lifted the Cup with a 2-0 victory over Aylestone Parks with Finley Jones and Ethan Ballantine scoring.

NORTHERN DIVISION

Anstey Nomads had a 2-1 victory over Allexton & New Parks Hawks with Finley Jones and Callum Chetwynd scoring with Jay Broome replying for the Hawks. Gresley and Allexton New Parks Hawks shared the points in a 2-2 draw with Alex Potts and Harry Heartfield scoring for the young Moatmen with James Pidcock (2) replying for the Hawks. Mansfield Town suffered a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Ashby Ivanhoe. Kieran O’Sullivan and Jack Robinson scoring for Ashby with Ryan Helmkay replying for the young Stags.
With Gresley and Mansfield Town failing to take maximum points, Anstey Nomads now require a single point from their remaining 2 fixtures to take the title.

SOUTHERN DIVISION

Allexton & New Parks had a 5-2 away victory at FC GNG and in doing so were crowned the Southern Division Champions. Goalscorers for Allexton were Mason Yates (2), Cain Beckett, Taylor Carvell and Louis Charlesworth with Tim Akinola and George Harris replying for GNG.
Subsequently, with Allexton being crowned Champions this means that Aylestone Park are the Divisional Runners Up as they can’t now overtake Allexton for the title.
Also, with the Champions and Runners Up spots now decided, the League have now closed the Division with all remaining fixtures being void.
