Three goal salvo sinks Lowhall in minor upset

First out of the blocks, East Thames scored after 2 mins and then never let much-fancied Lowhall settle into their stride for the whole game. A master gameplan and terrific teamplay left their manager enthusing at how proud he was that the whole team contributed to the first success within the ESFC. The final was played in a great spirit, even though a sending-off for each side never really ruined what was a good game. The records will show that the early strike by Ivan Thomas was complimented by Lee Thompson (20 mins) and Errol Anthony (38 mins) to leave Lowhall with a mountain to climb. Take nothing away from East Thames. It was a professional performance and one which settled the destination of the trophy after a dominant first 45 minutes.
