Application has gone into the County FA for the show pitch for both finals. It is likely that the Akeju Cup Final will not be a problem and will be played at the end of April. We must wait to confirm the outcome of the application for the County FA pitch for the Claire House. We will not find out for a couple of months so if anyone has contacts for a good ground for the CH Final, please let the committee know.

NATIONAL CUP:
Congratulations to those teams who went through. Out of 22 teams entered the MCL only lost 2 teams in the first round matches. Some did receive byes.

Results have been updated on the website under the “NEWS” section.
Please ensure that you inform Dan if your next round game is not going to be played on the scheduled date (27/11/10). If you are not playing due to non entry or you have been knocked out and would like a league game arranged for this date please let me know. Any team who has a postponed game that can be re-scheduled for this date would be ideal.

Please ensure that teams call the National Cup Organisers with the Result… do not expect the MCL committee to send your result in for you. Please feel free to inform Dan of result and he will update website results for MCL teams.

Please remember the National Cup is a Saturday afternoon competition… make contact with your opposition as soon as possible and ensure your pitch is available, then contact John Burton regarding a ref.

REFEREE REPORT:
Some teams did not organise themselves early enough last weekend with regards their National Cup games. There is a lack of MCL refs who are available to do afternoon games due to other commitments so any PM games please let John know ASAP.

Q: Tony Mitchell (Bootle) re National Cup Refs… Who pays?
As per rules… HOME team pays. If 2 Liverpool teams playing then it is up to the away team to offer contribution if they want.

Q: Tony Mullane re Absence of MCL Treasurer?
Alan commented that this cannot be discussed due to personal issues but he is still performing his role so there are no issues.

John Burton informed the room that the burial of James McVey, Jamie McVey’s son (Atlantic Elec – formally in MCL league), will take place at St Paul’s in Fazakerley on Wednesday this week at 1pm. All support would be welcome.
