Final report for 2024, including, League and Passey/Triggs fixtures
Passey/Triggs Trophy
Finnigan FC completed their fixtures in Group C of the Passey/Triggs Trophy when defeating Wallasey Wanderers 4-2 and retained their 100% record as Dale Crawford netted a brace with Sean Gandy and Steve Kelly adding singles, as Matty Madden and Morgan Catterson bagged a goal apiece for the under-strength Wanderers.
MES Ltd First Division
The only fixture in the MES Ltd First Division saw Vineyard take control of the division due to the inactivity of previous leaders Trident. Callum Morrison was a hat-trick hero, with Jay Rimmer, Jamie Payne and Dan Lamara all adding singles in this 6-2 success over a Lottie Dod team short on numbers, but in a battling performance both Dan Lewis and Cedric Mathe scored a goal apiece.
Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division
AFC Shore Villa took full advantage of AFC Bromborough not having a fixture as they rallied from being a goal behind against Bromborough Athletic to soar to a 7-1 victory and take spot in the Moreton Alarms Supplies Second Division thanks to Jack Taylor bagging a fine treble and Nathan Saunders adding a double, with Jack Roberts and Harry Brassey claiming a goal each in a hard-fought encounter.
FC Greasby finished the year on a high as they repelled Cheshire Vikings in a well earned 4-1 success. Corey Casey was their main threat as he rifled a treble and Luke Steele completed the scoring to keep them mid-table.
Liscard Brazil won 2-1 away to Park Royal FC
As there are no fixtures for 22nd and 29th December the LMC wish all teams and match officials a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Fixtures will resume on the 5th January 2025.
