League action...

Mallard leapt to the top of the Premier Division in a goal-crazy game. Jim Bywater (hat-trick), Craig Reynolds (two), Andrew Pilgrim, Ross Kane and Bobby Dance netted. MH Goldsmith replied through Scott Durham, Steve Teale, Callum Newbury and Alec Thomas.

Unity Nirankari continued their resurgence with half-a-dozen against Probuild (Ricky Case). On the scoresheet were Andrew Levy (two), George Brinkman (two), Andrew Iweduino and Liam Errington.

Bedwell Athletic conceded points yet again, this time to Dun Cow in their final league game.

In Division One, Dun Cow Reserves set up Tuesday’s title shot with a half-dozen goals to nil win against their closest challengers, King Pin United. James Dillnutt (four), Pete Brewster and Mick Simpson grabbed the goals.

AFC Crooked Billet hit a dozen against seven-man ProCladd, for whom Dan Manning bagged a hat-trick. Matt Arlick (four), Danny Hillard (two), Kev Fehmi (two), Chris Chalat (two), Sam Archer and Tony Goodman scored.

The shock league result of the day came in Division Two as unbeaten Stevenage Fencing were beaten by lowly Hartham Press. Craig Gilbert, Garry Smith and Danny Delasalle were on target to no avail as Andy Parrish (two), Barry Curtin and Mark Stephens bagged the goals for Hartham.

Probuild Reserves grabbed a crucial double-header win against Marquis of Lorne. Ian Woodfield hit the only goal of match one, whilst he bagged a brace in the second, with Chris Balazs also on target. Paul Summers got Lorne’s goal.

Also grabbing all six points were MBDA as they put behind them three successive weeks of cup elimination. Ashley Kersey hit a hat-trick in the opening game, they also benefitted from an own goal. Robbie Duckworth got A1 Trophies’ goal. In match two, they were three-nil to the good at half-time as in the first game, this time it was older brother Paul Kersey who started the scoring with a header. Ashley Kersey still managed a brace, whilst Sam Harwood and Gary Hodgson finished it off. A1 replied through Si Longman’s lovely chip and a Greg Bradbury strike.

Old Town Wetherspoons saw off Fox thanks to Gary Baker (two), Richard Marvell, Leigh Mardlin and Tony Davies.

Division Three saw Athletico Peartree’s excellent form continue as they hit Roebuck Gate for six, despite just a solitary goal coming from the penalty spot at half-time when Terry Lock converted past Richard Pomroy. Lock netted again after the break as did Joe Lucy (two), there were also rare goals from defenders Rich Allder and Alan Gifford.

Two more teams eliminating eachother from the Frank Neville Memorial Cup were Breachwood Lions and Bottles, whose three-goal win on the day thanks to Justin Brown, Ryan Ellis and Rob Verdia wiped out the same advantage.

Broadhall gave themselves a chance of a semi-final spot as Jake Mongston hit four against Times Club. Olly Barnett, Dave Conyard and John Johnston were also on the mark, Glenn Armitt replied.
