MATCH DAY 6 (September 24th 2023) REPORT

HAUNCHWOOD SPORTS TOP LEAGUE ONE WITH 100% RECORD !
Haunchwood Sports remain their 100% record at the top of NDSFL LEAGUE ONE as they came out on the right end of a 4-3 thriller against Royal Trent. 2 from Mark Williams on top of a Simeon Townsend strike and an own goal for Haunchwood. A Levi Tindall double and Michael Saddler goal in reply from Trent.
Bedworth Liberal beat Chetwynd Phoenix 5-2. Chetwynd goals coming from Arron Wickett and Sam Jones. Eric Allen and James Sidwell were on hand to help Coniston Tavern to a 2-0 victory over Attleborough Royal Oak.
Wykin Social go top of the NDSFL PREMIER LEAGUE after goals from a Tristan Atkinson brace and singles from Jake Brown, Gage Webster and Ryan Cheshire secured them a 5-1 win against Ambleside. Joshua Bird was on target for Ambleside.
Toby Bartram and Leo Franklin goals made sure Ridge Lane came out on top 2-1 when Frank Parker’s came calling. Mikkel Hirst replied for Parker’s in a closely contested battle. Drayton tasted defeat for the first time this term as they went down 3-1 to Witherley United. Reece Johnston, Ben Brookes and Kieran Graham netting for Witherley, Jack Bonnell for Drayton.
Swan Dive kept open their perfect record in MARK BLAIR MORTGAGE & FINANCE LEAGUE TWO as they recorded a 5-1 win over Phoenix United. Ash Guilder and Raja Asif with 2 a piece and a single from Nathan Mcinnes ensured Swan Dive went home with all 3 points. Josh Smith scored for Phoenix.
Bermuda Park picked up a 3-2 win at home to Crows Nest Sports thanks to strikes from Lewis Davis and Steven Pywell, an own goal being the other. Josh Cooper netted both the Crows Nest goals.
Goals from Ryan Mashatise and Josh Varden wasn’t enough to stop Sunnyside from falling to a 4-2 defeat to Acorn, a Jordan White brace and Paul Johnson and Damien Pierce singles helped Acorn pick up their first points of the campaign.
The third side to remain unbeaten in LEAGUE TWO is Grendon as they picked up a 4-1 win against Ashby Road Sports, Daniel Douglas, Jack Field, David Tonks and Jamie King on target for Grendon. Carr Craddock scored the Ashby Road goal.
Daniel Hendrie scored twice for Conny United as they picked up a 2-2 draw with unbeaten Athletico Duke. Jacob Townsend and Harry Wileman scoring for The Duke.
A battle of Bedworth was to take place at Heckley as Travs took on Bedworth Ex-Servicemen. It finished in a 2-2 draw, Travs goals coming from Michael Hutchinson and Lee Wallace. Kyle Aubrey and Scott Williamson made sure the Servicemen didn’t leave empty handed.
Another 2-2 draw would come from Witherley as goals from Bobby Gould and Ricky Luke ensured Witherley United Reserves shared the spoils with Saunders Hall. Bradley Lewis and Sam Forster on target for Saunders.
Hinckley Wanderers sit top of NUNEATON TROPHIES LEAGUE THREE after securing a 3-2 win against Bedworth Liberal Reserves. Sam Pinkerton, Jamie Roe and an own goal scoring for the Hinckley side. Scott Jurkiewicz grabbed both for The Libs.
Rumour Mill (Barwell) beat Griff and Coton Manor Reserves 5-0. A Luke Newton hat-trick and 2 from Danny Winterbotham sent the Barwell team 3rd in the standings.
Hearty Goodfellow Reserves inflicted a first defeat on new boys Newdigate United. A Liam Watts brace and singles from Connor Woolaston, Joshua Wilkes and Matthew Deacon made sure of a 5-3 victory. Newdigate replies coming from a Bradley Gibson-Hill penalty and 2 from James Lloyd.
2 from Matthew French and an Aaron Kemp goal saw Attleborough Sports take the points in a 3-2 win over Lamb and Flag. Jonathon Clark and Jude Barnett scoring Lamb and Flags goals.
2 goals from Kian Hunter sent Earl Shilton Town into a 2-0 lead but a late push with goals coming from Kevin Tuff and Codie Carpenter made sure the points were shared as the match finished 2-2.
Attleborough Royal Oak Reserves and Anchor Inn (Hartshill) played out a rare 0-0 draw.
