FIXTUERS
Dan explained due to the bad weather that games would go onto the middle of May
Easter was left optional to teams who wanted to play or not. There will be midweek games Tuesday is MCL night. We have left the days of the cup final free so teams can turn to give their support but if a club is very far behind they may be asked to play.
Matty Savage asked if teams could play double-headers to ease the fixture congestion. Dan
if teams are happy to play double headers then tell him and he will sort it out. Still some national cup games to catch up on.
Dan said he had some updated contact details for St Aidens, St Christophers and Bethel and these have been sent out via email.
REFEREES
John thanked everyone for getting into a good routine of phoning referees and opponents early, still some small issues with a small amount of teams but is getting fewer so keep up the good work.
Tony Mitchell said they their ref had not shown for a game on 19 Dec. John apologized and told the floor the ref involved had been taken off the panel
TREASURER
Arthur absent in his absence Ronnie said he now has the accounts and that Barclays now recognize Arthur as the treasurer, there are a couple of things to be sorted like a £106 which had been paid into the account but needed to find out from where. But the accounts are in order and are available.
AOB
Ron spoke about a Christians in football conference he attended on behalf of the MCL
Which he found very good and enjoyable.
Ron had mission footballs which retail at £25 but we could purchase for cost of £5.35 example ball passed around.
Ron gives the floor a chance to speak
Danny Murphy team manager of Norris Green B talks about how much he has enjoyed the season so far and how good the standard of football has been he is really enjoying his time in MCL.
Adrian manager of Mill Lane asked how much authority the ground staff have at grounds and explains about what had happened at the weekends game with St Peters in the national cup with the grounds man saying they could not play.
The committee replied that most ground staff leaves it to the council or the referee but that some do take it upon themselves to make a decision
Ron asked if any teams wanted to do the first aid course, which is planned for March 8th 2010. £11 course and £11 first aid kit. He again stated how important it is for teams to have a qualified first aider and insurance cover.
Ron also said he had a letter from referee Tom Caton congratulating the two teams on a great game recently.
THIS WAS A SHORT MEETING DUE TO THE POOR ATTENDANCE OF TEAMS.
