Important notice for Under 11 Team Managers

Dear Secretaries,

Can I ask you to remind all your Under 11 Team Managers that they must contact their opposite number at least 5 days to their upcoming game to agree the format of their game.

Prior to the start of the season it was stated that when a team who prefer the 9v9 format visit a team who's preference is 11v11 the visiting team must be prepared to play that format. The same applies in reverse that when a 11v11 team visits a 9v9 team they must be prepared to play that format.

We had a situation today when their was a disagreement between two teams, obviously this could have been avoided had the two managers had a discussion several days prior to the game and, just as importantly, there would not have been any bad feelings between the sides.

In the event that the managers cannot agree then the home team's choice will take preference, however, it would be hoped that common sense between adults would avoid this issue arising.
