Champ Trophy & Championship Cup

The divisional Trophies will launch in the new year. So far the weather has meant we are on schedule and able to facilitate a divisional trophy & championship cup. This is how they will work:

Divisional Trophy
All teams have been put into groups of 3 (bar one group which is 4 due to odd numbers). Each team plays each team once only (not home & away).
We have tried to put clubs into pools relative to their league position to facilitate competitive football and have also considered location.

All group matches are 90 minutes with no extra time. Referee fees are to be split.

Groups are decided on head-to-head then in the following order: Goal differences, Goals scored, and Goals against. Due to calendar restraints the committee reserve the right to award a draw if a games is postponed due to weather. If you are unable to host your home fixture it will be switched to the the away team.

The top team in each group goes to the semi-final where Group A winners will play Group C winners.
Group B winners will play Group D.

The semi-final and Final are straight to pens after 90 Mins. The semi-final and final are to be played at the venue of the first-drawn team if ground standards allow (must have a permanent barrier and be able to facilitate supporters)

The winner of each Championship Divison Trophy final will play for the Championship Cup (venue TBC)

The usual NWU21 rules regarding player registration, match admin and postponement request apply.

Any clubs wishing to withdraw from the trophy & competition must inform the league by the 5th of January
