In Division Two leaders Mallaby, opened the scoring through Danny Brookes, but an inept display led to their third consecutive defeat in their push for promotion, after replies from Salim Djabi and Lacey Kwass saw the visitors emerge 2-1 victors. That result enhanced second placed South Liverpool's title claims, following a 4-0 victory at Neston Nomads. West Kirby's promising run continued thanks to a 2-0 decision over Maghull Res. with Lewis Handford and Ben Hawitt on target.
Saturday's Division Three action saw FC Kirkby top score on the day, Brendan Rawcliffe (2) Danny Downes (2) Liam Johnstone, Josh Downes, Jay Tyrer and Craig Johnson sharing the goals in an 8-0 verdict over Rainhill Town Res. as Kirkby moved to within five points of current pacesetters, Cammell Laird 1907 Res. Tom Jackson netted for Frodsham Park JFC but it was the visitors, Poulton Vics who profited, efforts from Jack Waddicar, Ethan Sheen and an own goal cementing a 3-1 win.
