Ashbourne Champions

The final matchday began with Ashbourne in a very strong position at the top of the table and with all games ending goalless they edged closer. Ashbourne were confirmed champions after a 2-0 win over Etwall whilst Heanor had dropped a further point against an improving Matlock. In the third round of games and perhaps taking their foot off the pedal Ashbourne conceded their first goal and defeat of the league season 1-0 against Matlock. In the final round of games Ashbourne conceded again against Heanor but fought back for a 2-1 win whilst Matlock ended a successful morning after defeating Etwall 2-1. Congratulations to Ashbourne and almost a record of clean sheets.
