Worcester Blind completed a league and cup double by securing the Brian Aaron's Cup on a dramatic day in the competition.
A closely contested group phase to the competition saw RNC Academy Bulls top the standings and secure a passage through to the final. The semi-final between Worcester and West Midlands to determine the second finalist went to a penalty shoot-out with Worcester securing the place with a 1-0 win.
In the 4th place playoff, Merseyside Blind secured a 2-0 win over London & South East Blind Centre of Excellence in a keenly contested affair. With West Midlands already secure in 3rd place, the attention turned to the final itself.
After drawing in the group stage, Worcester and RNC Academy Bulls again could not be separated in normal time with tie going to another penalty shoot-out. It was a tense affair throughout and Worcester won their second shoot-out of the day 2-1 to secure the cup and silverware double.
The trophy winners were presented with the cup by the family of Brian Aaron's, who kindly sponsored this seasons competition once again and have now donated over £6000 to the development of the league and cup competitions.
