Suspension of League Rule 8J

The League have suspended the following Rule for the remainder of this Season:

Rule 8J
“ A player may not be registered for a Club nor transferred to another Club in the Competition after 31st January except by special permission of the Management Committee.”

To this effect Clubs are now able to freely sign/transfer players upto the end of the Season.

Please Note:
Clubs are reminded that post Jan, many teams will be involved in Cup games and therefore Clubs are to ensure when requesting a transfer of a player, clarification is gained from the previous Club over which Cup games that player has played in, they will therefore be Cup tied and unable to play in any further Cup games for another team (Qualification Rounds don’t count, League, Minton and Super Cup are considered separate competitions). Players are to have been signed for the team 21 days prior to any Semi or Cup Final.

From League Rules, Rule 10J refers:

a) No player can play for more than one Club in any particular Cup competition during that season (excepting that the League Cup and Minton Trophy are separate competitions).

(b) A player in order to play in a Cup-tie must have signed for his Club according to League Rules, and to play in a semi-final or final must have been signed on for his Club and registered with this League as per League Rules 21 days prior to the Cup.
