Kendal Wattsfield Ladies has been established from two clubs.

AC Wattsfield began playing friendly matches in spring 2005. Season 2005/06 saw the start of the South Lakes Girls League with AC and Inter Wattsfield entering. The following season, the U14 team played in the South Lakes Girls League while Inter played in the newly established Cumbria U16 League.

In 2007/08 Inter Wattsfield won both the Cumberland FA Tesco Cup and the Westmorland FA Tesco Cup. Due to age restrictions the team played friendly fixtures last season.

Kendal Town entered the Cumbria Women's League in season 2008/09 and a decision was made to amalgamate the two teams to make the Kendal based club a real contender for season 2009/10.
The new club play their home fixtures at Parkside Road.
