Another week of fixtures get played..
The weather continues to give us a fighting chance to declare our champions as a full schedule was completed this week, albeit with some games likely to be concluded by the Disciplinary committee.
Both MK Wanderers and Launton were unable to field sides and H&W and BTC both await the outcome of any disciplinary to see if they will be awarded the points.
In the Premir Division, Saints defeated Bracknell 2-0, Wycombe took valuable points from Slough beating them 2-1, Shanklin made Southampton Women's life difficult with a 3-1 victory whilst Aldershot and Henley shared a 1-1 draw.
In the First Division, Reading Ladies picked up their first points of the season winning 3-2 after being 3-0 up against Banbury Utd. Utd staged a late comeback but there was not enough time to level.
Oxford Utd maintain their good form with a 3-0 win at local rivals Oxford City Res. Maidenhead matched them with a 3-0 win over Saints Res and continue to impress.
Reading Girls picked up a 2-1 win over Newbury L&G. A game of 2 halves with Newbury scoring at both ends, and hitting the woodwork, followed by Reading coming back in the 2nd half to make them pay for missed chances.
With most clubs now halfway through their fixtures, H&W have a 9 point gap at the top of the Premier, whilst Southampton Women, MK, Launton and Henley are all within 5 points of each other at the bottom.
In the First Division, its very open. Oxford Utd stay top, with Newbury 2nd and Maidenhead 3rd but with 4 points covering the top 5 the next few games will be critical.
This Thursday sees 2 games to be played. Shanklin take on H&W at home, and Wycombe travel to Bracknell in a reversed mid week game.
