Following the very sad passing of John Leonard on January 6th 2014, Nigel Odd has arranged a memorial match between the original Under 16 Gravesend and Northfleet and Gravesend and Northfleet Supporters FC who visited Gravesend's twin town in Cambrai, Northern France in 1991. John started his playing days at Longfield Tigers F.C. then the district team, then onto the Gravesend and Northfleet Under 16's and like many of the Under 16's side went on to play for the Supporters team under the Gravesend Utd banner. John returned to Longfield Tigers, first as a dad and then the Managed the Under twelve team. The match will take place at Ebbsfleet Utd F.C. Stonebridge Rd, Northfleet, Kent, DA11 9GN on Friday 16th May 2014 with a 6pm kick off. Entry is free, there will be a refreshment stall open as will the bar, with a raffle and music. John's parents will be there to present a trophy to the victorious team. It would be great to see his family, friends, colleagues, teammates and Longfield Tigers Teams present for what we hope will become an annual event.
