Haunchwood Sports returned to action for the first time in 2024 and the picked up where they left off, to beat Bedworth Liberal 3-0 and extend their 100% winning record to 8 games in NDSFL LEAGUE ONE. Marcus Southwell, Mark Williams and Simeon Townsend with the goals to keep them 6 points clear at the top.
Royal Trent and Barwell Cricketers are two of the sides chasing Haunchwood and they faced each other this week with Trent coming out on top 5-2. Goals from Ryan Commins, Reigan Duffy, Levi Tindall and Connor McCallum’s brace enough to see the Cricketers to the boundary. Ben Adams and Cameron Atkinson were on target for the Barwell side.
In a repeat of last week’s fixture, Coniston Tavern faced Hearty Goodfellow and also in a repeat of last week the game ended in a 1-1 draw. Two games with nothing to separate two solid sides. Shane Hunter scoring the Coniston goal, Morgan Lewis on target for Hearty.
Joe Neal scored the only goal of the game as Desford-Caterpillar edged past Ambleside Reserves 1-0.

Rumour Mill started the brighter of the two sides but West Leake soon grew into the game and went ahead on the stroke of half time. Rumour Mill started the second half well and Riley Poxon was able to get on the end of a Wes Moore cross to head home the equaliser but this only seemed to poke the fire even more and West Leake were able to regain the lead 2 minutes later.
