Preview Of This Weekends Matches
This weekend sees us supporting the FA Respect Campaign and in doing so we have renamed this Sunday as 'Luke Williams' Sunday in memory of Luke who sadly passed away a year ago this week.
With current Premier Division Leaders inactive this weekend it gives the chance for Dolphin Top Bar to take over at the top if they can beat Kings United. Acorn Children Homes can move into the top three if they can continue their good form against Generation Sports whilst AFC Garlinge will be looking to bounce back from last weekends defeat when they travel to play Monkton.
It could be all change in Division One this weekend as we have leaders Arrow facing third placed The Hussar knowing they cannot lose top spot being five points clear but put their 100% record on the line against an improving Hussar side, second placed The Odds take on fourth placed AFC Lesters in another big game. With the top four all battling it out amongst themselves it gives the chasing clubs a chance to close the gap, Belle Vue host Insignia Projects at Northdown Park and Coastal Data Systems entertain Westwood at Dane Court. Ashburnham and Racing Greyhound will both be wanting to secure maximum points when they play one another as they bid to pull clear of the bottom spots.
Bob FC will be out to make it five from five when they play Westgate Supermarket at Garlinge but have Camden Arms breathing down their neck and Camden face Westgate United Services this weekend knowing a big win could see them end the weekend as leaders if Bob FC slip up. SLT United travel to Baypoint to play HCS United whilst mid table sides Hugin Vikings & Evolution meet at Dumpton Park knowing a win for either side will push them right back in with the leaders.
Division Three leaders Westgate Best One Manager, Mick McColl, will want a response from his side this weekend having seen them suffer their first defeat of the season last weekend, this week they face Northdown Rangers at Northdown Park. Should Westgate slip up again then Stix can take over at the top if they can beat York Arms and we also have third against fourth when FC Enoteca take on Albert Athletic at Jackey Bakers. Key IT Support will be hoping to make it back to back victories when they travel to St.Georges to play Stonecroft Builders.
A Minutes Applause will be held before all matches in Luke's memory.
