Steve Fahey...2 more for Broadhall Reserves as they look for the title...

Last Wednesday...

ProCladd and Highview shared six goals in Division One. The latter netted through Dave Morbin (two) and an own goal.

The Division Three title is still up in the air. Broadhall Reserves comfortably beat Emperors Head in their final game as Steve Fahey (two), Mark Chalkley, Gary Hillard and an own goal saw them home. However, goals from Mkoati Hloaele and Dean Chadderton brought a win for SCS over Athletico Peartree (Chris Benton) means it’s in their hands if they get the goals required.

In Division Four, Broadhall 'A' had the best of the first-half and went to the interval with a deserved two-goal lead. The first came after a good team move finished with Phil Stevens' excellent run and cutback for Cameron Bridger to score with a carefully controlled shot. An even better team move involving Paul Hancock, Michael Emmings and Phil Stevens ended with a lovely finish from the rampaging Joe Lee. A wound-up Marquis Rangers returned for the second-half and within five minutes they pulled back a 'route one' goal from Anthony Rowe. Despite being up against an aggressive, physical style, Broadhall held their nerve and restored their two-goal lead, sandwiched by their ‘keeper Will Harris pulling off another top-drawer save. Emmings crashed a twenty-five yard free-kick in off the underside of the bar before providing Stevens for the last. A good way to finish the league season for the young side as they ensured fourteen league wins out of eighteen.
