On January 12, 2010, the clubs of the Heavy Woollen Sunday League overwhelmingly voted to sign up for The FA's Respect programme with effect from the beginning of the 2010-11 season.

To aid the referees of the HWSL with their support for Respect, the league management committee have arranged a workshop to which all Match Officials are invited.

The workshop, which is to be delivered by members of the WRCFA Referee Development Team, will take place on Wednesday July 14, 2010 at Heckmondwike Sports Club. Referees are asked to report for registration at 7:15 with the workshop commencing at 7:30. Meanwhile the attached Guide for Referees gives more information about the programme.
