Heanor win the WFU League Champions Cup

League champions Heanor represented the DWFL in the inaugural WFU League Champions Cup on Sunday September 18th at the Derby Powerleague. Heanor along with the league champions from Gloucestershire, Kent and Sheffield/Hallamshire competed in a mini-league. Abbeymead of Gloucestershire finished top of the league piping second place Heanor by just one point. Both teams contested the cup final and in a close game Heanor took the honours 4-3 in extra time.
