U10s & U11s 2020 Divisions review, Close & New Divisions created for 2021

As per previous emails from League Secretary, Keith Thompson.
Due to a combination of
a)the increased size of the divisions,
b) postponements due to LOCKDOWN in November &
c) further COVID19 related issues forcing postponements.
It was recognised that these divisions would not be able to complete the existing fixture schedule in the remainder of the season.
The League, in consultation with the teams, have reviewed the U10s & U11s Divisions to allow for a reasonable amount of matches to be played & ensure that development time for teams was built in.
Therefore the following has been implemented for the U10s & U11s.

Existing U10 & U11 divisions were kept & renamed to "Under 10's Sep-Dec 2020" & "Under 11's Sep-Dec 2020"
Matches played to end of Dec 2020 remain in FA Full Time. Any outstanding & postponed Fixtures have been deleted from FA Full Time for clarity.

4x New Divisions Created.
Divisions 1 & 2 for both U10s & U11s (split by geography, not ability) have been created for 2021.
New Fixtures have been created & published in FA Full Time for these 4x divisions. Minus any new division appropriate matches played in 2020
The U10s & U11s Season New fixtures resume on Sat 16th January 2021 to 31st May 2021.

U10s New Div 1
5x teams requires 20 Fixtures total. Taking into account 7x Already Played Fixtures from Sep-Dec 2020 – Therefore only 7 Saturdays required to fulfil the new div 13x remaining fixtures.
With 14 non school holiday Saturdays available, that equates to a match every other Saturday (exception is 30th Jan & 6th Feb due to the following Half Term break)
Allows for player development training on alternate weekends.

U10s New Div 2
5x teams requires 20 Fixtures total. Taking into account 4x Already Played Fixtures from Sep-Dec 2020 - Therefore only 9 Saturdays required to fulfil the new div 16x remaining fixtures.
With 14 non school holiday Saturdays available, that equates to approx a match every other Saturday (exceptions are 30th Jan - 6th Feb due to the Half Term break & 17th Apr - 24th Apr )
Allows for player development training on alternate weekends.


U11s New Div 1 – Fresh Start
4x Teams requires 12 Fixtures total. Therefore 6 Saturdays required to fulfil the new div 12x fixtures.
With 14 non school holiday Saturdays available, that equates to approx a match every other Saturday (exception is 30th Jan & 6th Feb due to the following Half Term break)
Allows for player development training on alternate weekends.

U11s New Div 2
5x teams requires 20 Fixtures total. Taking into account 6x Already Played Fixtures from Sep-Dec 2020 - Therefore only 7 Saturdays required to fulfil the new div 16x remaining fixtures.
With 14 non school holiday Saturdays available, that equates to a match every other Saturday (exception is 30th Jan & 6th Feb due to the following Half Term break)
Allows for player development training on alternate weekends.

Note – Re Scheduling U10s & U11s as above, also leaves us room to be able to accommodate a Tournament or Two, should we get the OK to be able to do so.
