Summary of the action from Week 10 of NTU's Bundesliga 5-A-Side competition

Week 10 in the Bundesliga saw the introduction of the new 2.Bundesliga, operating as the 2nd Division in NTU's 5-a-side competition.

With nine teams competing in the division Surreal Madrid's sat out the first week of fixtures as their Bye Week. The league itself started in inauspicious circumstances as Pass To Stephen failed to show up for their game against Inter Mi-Nan, handing the boys in yellow a 3-0 walkover victory.

The second game of the day provided the action that the Bundesliga's have become accustomed to as Bigshot United ranked up a 8-4 win over Fat Bagz, before Ivory Toast picked up a closely fought victory 5-3 against Sapphic United.

The final game of the first round of the 2. Bundesliga placed The Best Choice Boys against AFC Game, Set & Snatch. In what proved to be the most comprehensive victory of the day G.S.S. won 6-0 to top the table at the end of the first week of games in the division.

The top division of the Bundesliga also had an anti-climactic start as Real Sosobad had withdrawn from their game against CYPS earlier in the week due to a lack of players. 2.30 saw the league get back on track with an upset victory for Harpins Boys as they beat Cheers United 7-4.

The most eagerly anticipated game of the day came at 3.00 as third placed CC Cosmos met Always On Top who currently sat in sixth at the beginning of the day. The socre stayed locked closely together throughout the game before wildly celebrated two goals from Cosmos in the last five minutes gave them a 4-2 victory.

The wins for CYPS and CC Cosmos put pressure on 5 Elite to keep in touch at the top of the league and they duly replied with a comprehensive 7-0 win over Baines On Toast. ASE then picked up a seven goal win of their own as they beat Token Hotspur 9-2 to move a point clear at the top of the league at that point.

At 4.30 an old rivalry was renewed as The Chaps played Exeter Gently, with the former taking a 6-3 win to ease their may comfortably into mid table. With NTU ISOC conceding their game to LEX FC, the final game of the day was table topppers Inter de Nott against Ay Bird FC. Supported by a vocal crowd in the bar area Inter continued to show the form taht sees them still leading the league approaching the halfway stage as they won 5-1.

Week 10's Bundesliga Team Of The Week Award goes to Harpins Boys for their 7-4 win over Cheer United, their first in seven games, that eased them away from the foot of the table.

Next week's twelve games throw up some intriguing games in both leagues, with the highlights being the debut of Surreal Mardi in 2. Bundesliga against The Best Choice Boys and the second reunion in two weeks for The Chaps as they play last years runners up LEX FC.
