Danny Bowey, only goal of the game against Highwayman gave Coopers the Division 4 title...

Cow Reserves and Coopers are League Champions...

The first midweek action of the season on Tuesday saw two teams crowned league champions, writes Darren “Statto” Jones.

Dun Cow Reserves warmed up for the Division One Cup semi-final against Shephall Artois with a comfortable win over the same opponents. Adam Furness (four), Pete Brewster and Danny Lane were on target.

Coopers took glory in Division Four, maintaining their 100 percent record with a solitary Danny Bowey goal to see off Highwayman.

Unity Nirankari eased past Bottles, Scott Orphanou (two), Darren Sarll (two) and Adrian Spence notched as they moved up to third in the Premier Division.

Probuild Reserves hit the Division Two summit as they hammered Old Town Wetherspoons (Richard Marvell). On target were Barry Greenway (hat-trick), Ian Woodfield (two), Craig Braine, Dean Allen, Jay Drackford and Chris Balazs.

There was also an ominous move in Division Three as SCS closed the gap with a magnificent seven against Emperors Head. Leslie Chappell (two), Dean Chadderton (two), Matt Hickford, Scott Seals and an own goal saw them home.

Bedwell Rangers and AFC Crooked Billet played out a draw in the Frank Neville Memorial Cup which ended the hopes of both sides. Luke Smith and Danny Bacon added to Rangers’ three-goal handicap. Danny Hillard, Kev Fehmi, Matt Arlick, Rich Brown and Chris Chalat were Billet’s marksmen.

Hartham Press hit maximum points, but they may not make the required top four berth due to their inferior goal difference. James Khakpour-Smith (two), Adrian Wenn, Mark Stephens and Graeme Hulstrom scored on the night. Chequers replied through Paul Osbourne (two) and Ricky Wilson.
