Rose Hill and Chalgrove progress to the next round of the Junior Shield.
Rose Hill put in a scintillating performance after beating one of the finest The Witney & District Premier Division have to offer
A James Ford first half brace was enough to take The Hill through in a scrappy and very physical contest. Ford put Rose Hill into a 1-0 lead early on with a great finish from 12 yards to then double the score with a smart near post finish after Michaels Bateman's break down the flank. Goalkeeper Kevin Mcmahon was unlucky after a brilliant double save only to see Hanborough grab one back with the third effort just before half time.

The second half was a stalemate with the Rose Hill showing great determination and brilliant spirit to hold on and see them through to the last 16 in this county wide competition.
Chalgrove came out on top in a well contested fixture versus Spartan Rangers in the Oxon Junior Shield on Saturday. The visitors took the lead mid-way through the first half after a well-taken finish from Simon Godfrey but Rangers hit back twice before the break giving them a 2-1 lead in to the interval. The hosts started the second half strongly but a penalty scored by Godfrey brought the teams back level and neither side could find a winner as the game headed toward extra time. With the light drawing in and both teams trying to avoid the dreaded penalties it was Chalgrove who scored the decisive goal as a fine strike from Nick Skiller sent Chalgrove through to the next round.
"Golden Ball won 2-0 away to Union Street to keep up their recent good form. Both goals were long range shots Ricky Anderson and Wes Bone both hitting 30 yard screamers,to move "Ball" further up the table."
