The FA have announced that all junior clubs are required to meet minimum standards with regards to Child protection and Safeguarding young people.
In order to affiliate for the 2008/09 season ALL junior clubs are required to have: a named welfare officer, who is FA CRB checked and has completed the safeguarding children training (3 hours). In addition to this, for the 2009/10 season the Club Welfare Officers are required to complete further training through the Welfare Officer workshop.Our aim is for the North Riding County Football Association to become an area of Best Practice, in terms of our engagement with our members, and also the systems and processes which will drive us on with this extremely important and positive agenda. With this in mind, a package of training and workshops will be rolled out for all to attend. A new structure of reporting and monitoring will be introduced which will allow all clubs and leagues to have access to the correct information and people, at the right times.
