Coronavirus brings a premature end to the season
I sent you all an email on the 30th March 2020, stating the Kent FA’s advice after the surprise announcement from the FA last week about Null and Voiding the season from the National Leagues down.
Can I firstly thank you all for your swift replies regarding whether we should hold an SGM over a Webex Style Conference call or to go ahead and Void our 2019-2020 season.
We have gone through all of your responses and the Management Committee have agreed the following:
The 2019-2020 Seasons League programme as from today with immediate effect is now void, however the Cup Competitions remain postponed at the Finals stages until such time, that we can return to playing again and these Finals will be a prelude to the 2020-2021 season starting.
Can I thank you all for your commitment and hard work throughout this season and we are extremely disappointed that the season has had to end in this way but the health and safety of everyone is more important than the football.
We will now start working towards the 2020-2021 Season and hopefully we will get back playing sooner rather than later.
Any outstanding fines and pitch invoices are still valid and will need to be paid
Can I finish by wishing you all well over the coming weeks and months and hope that you all continue to stay well and safe and could you please return your 2020-2021 Application Form as soon as possible and we will keep you informed of the date of AGM when the Covid-19 virus is starting to disperse.
