The League Chair has released the following important statement on winning margins for League games.

I am today issuing a clarification of the position on Clubs in this League winning by a substantial margin (?double-digit wins?).

1. There is no provision in the Rules of the Competition for the restriction of the number of goals scored by a side in a match. There is also no restriction on the winning margin.

2. If such a limitation were to be introduced, it would be subject to approval by the Clubs at the AGM and the subsequent sanction of the County FA(s) involved. The League Committee has not yet discussed introducing such a policy.

3. The policy of the League is to record all results as reported, and for matches to be played competitively as under Rule 10.

4. The League Committee will review and determine this situation at its meeting on 3rd October, after which a further statement may be issued. It is for the Committee to determine the policy of the League within the Rules.
